Who We Are, Why We Are Here....
I am not a historian, a political scientist, an economist or a public policy expert. In fact, my training is in the sciences and I am passionate about our country and our future as a nation. I have studied politics and government issues for many years and have posed questions about the political and economic issues that face us today. My scientific background has urged me to find my own answers based on experience, common sense and logic. Our system of government, based on our Constitution and founded on principles embodied in the Declaration of Independence, has survived dramatic technological, philosophical and geopolitical changes for over 200 years.
As a result, our country and our system of government has survived dramatic change, delivered the most dynamic economy in the world, provided limitless opportunities for our citizens and enabled the United States of America to assist other decimated countries in recovering from economic, natural and mad-made disasters. It is in this realization that I have concluded that perhaps it is time to look to the wisdom of the Founding Fathers to assist us in resolving the challenges and issues that we face today.
“What Would Ben Do?” is a forum for discussion about the vision and framework our Founding Fathers designed for our country and how we can use their wisdom to continue to develop as a great, prosperous and generous nation.
